a couple of funnies....

Joe Forks Jun 07, 2007 11:03 AM

The fake blairs story got me thinking about the time I was cruising Juno with Alan K. and karl P. We were in separate vehicles and I was by myself criss crossing with my buddies.

I got tired and headed south to the camp site and crashed out. About two hours later I hear a loud PLOP right in front of my head and cussing in the background. I open my eyes to a 4' DOR atrox with large bright orange blotches painted on its back. Karl had been sitting in the bushes, waiting forever for me to make another pass north but I never did. He was going to pull that 4' fake blairs as big around as a coke can out in front of me. I wish I had made another pass, that would have been something to see!

talk about a guy that gets excited when he sees a Blairs, man oh man. Once we were out doing Luna vista and somewhere along the way we found a another rope a dope blairs. This one was a pretty good one, large really bright orange blotches with alternates. Classic xmas blairi. Kam and I strategically placed the rop a dope at the base of one of the Luna Vista cuts. Kam and I waited on top just out of sight for Tremp and his son to come wandering around haplessly. With Tremps son in the passenger seat closest to the cut he was the first to see it. I don't remember what he said but whatever it was it lit a fire under Tremper's butt. He damn near crashed the car into the cut trying to get parked. By the time he got out Kam and I were busting out laughing, it was so funny we just couldn't contain ourselves. I wish I had that on video, CLASSIC!!!

ah yes, the 118 alterna bash with the "cheems". By request, I do have something to add to Fork's narrative.........My 13 yr. old son, Daniel, and I arrived at the Wildhorse to meet Kam, Forks and Chad Brown who were bored fecal-less from some days of high pressure and no snakes. Little did we know that those small idle minds had dreamt up and created a number of immoral but memorable acts.
As we turned off 118 into the Wildhorse's driveway with plenty of light to spare, I asked Daniel, "well do you see where their cabin is?" and he said, in a slightly terrified fashion, "all I see Dad are three naked butts on that railing way up there!!".
Even with the glare and all, it only took one glance at those hinnies to declare, "that's them!"
Then Daniel asks me which one is Joe and I said, "see that red glow? that is Forky's @ss".
Well, on to better things......snakes. Upon reaching their cabin, I spy a DOR Hyp pinned under the front tire of their car
as I unloaded our vehicle......no one believed me as they were
all rolling around like a bunch of clowns laughing about the
full moon greeting they had just dished out....but one by one they stumbled out with a cup of hard liquior in their hands and verified my observation and then spent an hour arguing own was driving and who did what to that poor Hyp.
That night was terrible road hunting and sure enough we came across that rop-a-dope alterna they had painted and planted with much zeal......in fact the entire episode IS ON VIDEO that Chad Brown took - with sound!! It is too funny to watch.......you can hear me say, "snake!", followed by "ALTERNA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" (said in a way that rocked the entire county). Then my son throws open his door and does not hear me telling him several times it is a fake, as he tries to climb over the door instead of going out the door!!! About that time, I am still yelling "fake", my son is screaming "ALTERNA, ALTERNA" (yes, it is genetic) and the "cheems" up on the cut are laughing their not so tanned (sorry Chad!) butts off for 20 minutes.......
Funny thing, I don't know where that video is, but I still have that rop-a-dope alterna after 15 years!

Tremp...........
