More ??? from a newbie

I tried to find out the answers before I posted so forgive me if these have been asked a million times before.

- How far can dragons see? Can I put BD directly across the room or should they not be in direct sight of one another?

- What do the numbers mean in people's signature? 1.0.0 bearded dragon - for example

- When should you first start clipping nails? How do BDs react?

Thanks!

1.0.0 means 1 male, 0 female, 0 unknown.

Example:
2.3.4
2 male. 3 female. 4 unknown

by unknown they mean they are not sure of sex or it is too young to tell.

I have read that dragons have very good sight for a reptile whatever that means. In practice they can see as far as you can it seems. How clearly I don't know. Girls seeing girls, no problem. Boy sees girl or vice versa you need to change or block something. Also don't let the babies see the adults.

Darien is correct on the number significance.

Mine are all fine with nail clipping. I guess they were like 9 months till I clipped them the first time. Just cut the tip off and they don't even seem to feel it. I probably do it once a month depending on the dragon.

I put two cages next to eachother then just put some paper in between so they can't see eachother.

They have very good eyesight. We keep our male and female out of sight at all times. The female is just over a year and our huge male really wants to get to know her. This stress out the female and she stops eating. When we place them outside we do so at other ends of the yard with line of sight blockers in place. He has seen her out there and took off running for her.
