Uro leash?

nitro2007 Jun 07, 2007 09:40 PM

I want to get a leash for my Uro. The only thing is the pet store only had an iguana leash that was a little big for my uro. Do they make leashes that would fit a Uro and are they safe to use? I would like to start getting her outside to catch some rays now that its summertime Any thoughts or advice?
Thanks,
JT

I'm sure they probably do make leashes of appropriate size, but I wouldn't use one - there's always the chance of tangle-injury or escape. My friend put his iguana in one a long time ago. Once. It went berserk.

Anyway, a safer choice is to find (or make) a secure outdoor enclosure. Something that there's no way in or out of - no escapes or predators - but has screening large enough that the UVB will get through (minimum of 1/4", but larger is better).
