I've been wondering how you can tell which type of blood python/STP you have. Mine was sold to me as a Sumatran blood python and I was wondering if it really was a Sumatran blood python because when I look at Borneo STPs they kind of look like mine. I read this scientific article on how to distinguish them apart by counting ventral scales and looking at the head scales. I consider mine as Python curtis curtis, but how can you tell when you're trying to purchase another of the same species if you can't look at those things?
