These folks have their own agenda, but they have been compared to "Attack Dogs".

I want them to get about 1000 calls today urging them to get after this.

What sort of things should we say to head this thing in the desired direction?

I am curious to ask WHY? and WHO? thought this was necessary to shiftily enact this law under the cover of darkness.

WHAT do "they" hope to gain?

Do "they" understand how many tourist dollars are at stake here?

It is interesting that this is happening in Texas. It sounds more like something you would expect in crazy Kalifornia.

TP&W hopes to shut down take on all non-game species instead of managing the resource. Dictatorship.

If they do they have no regard for the economies of the towns that will suffer.

Sounds more like Nazi Germany to me.
