breeding observation

wayne13114 Jun 08, 2007 04:56 PM

ok the wait is over my female western hog dropped 13 nice looking eggs, thats one more than last year. ok my observation is simple. I brumated her from nov-apr at 55 degrees plus or minus 5 degress, took her out and placed her with the male she started eating but shed only once but it was about 2 weeks ago so I set up a nest box just in case and low and behold eggs, with out the breeding shed. anyone else have this happen?

Mine fasted for 4 mths (during the summer) last year, was put with the male during some cage cleaning (safe right, since it was not breeding season) and laid eggs in November!! These guys just like to keep you on your toes!
