Ground boa stuck in driftwood!!!

groundboa138 Jun 08, 2007 07:45 PM

Oh man, I knew my boa was a lunkhead, but I never thought I'd see the day...

He's got driftwood in his tank to hang out on, he loves the stuff when he's in shed, but there was apparently a small hole in the wood that his head fits through...but his rear end is too big! Now he's stuck and can't get back out.

I have a handsaw, but he doesn't hold still and I'm afraid of catching him on the saw. Any suggestions to help him get himself out, before I drag out the tools???

Thanks!

The definition of irony?

I ran out to buy coarse sandpaper, to start sanding down the wood around him. (The safest thing I could think of, because handsaw flailing boa = badness.)

By the time I got back, the big lug is sitting on the far corner of his tank looking all smug and self-satisfied. Bah!

Thanks for reading anyway!

Ha! Might be time to replace that piece of driftwood, 'eh?

Glad it turned out OK.

Have a good one!
