first of the season

xblackheart Jun 09, 2007 12:50 AM

So, many of you know I had lots of issues this season. I have lost about 50 good eggs at least already.

But, my first hatchling came out of her shell. She pipped and came out a whole day ahead of her clutch mates. She is a full stripe cal king, het albino. Probably my keeper for the year.

next, to keep it on topic, is an anery corn that pipped today. Still kickin it in its egg.

Just wanted to share. Even with all the issues i have gone through, it is still great to see those little noses come out of there eggs! I will post pics soon.

all three are beautiful.
I really like the first king. Even though the second has a better "stripe" pattern the first one has more character...lol
The anery has exceptional contrast.
very nice indeed.
good luck with them and everything else, Misty.

It is wierd. I did not get one regular banded king out of my female this clutch. her second is due to hatch in a month. Last year, she gave me exactly half banded, half stripe. Maybe all of the second clutch will be banded. lol.

I just discovered tonight that my anery (the mother of the anery in the pic) is het amel. I got a snow tonight. It is always cool to discover hidden traits. I kinda counted on the fact that most anerys are het amel.

thanks for lookin
