Found a neat corn

bridog Jun 09, 2007 09:23 AM

My buddy has a large plant nusery, and he's a big snake fan also. they caught a 38" male corn snake the other night. He gave it me knowning I was looking for one to breed to my female corn "Red" anyhow he was all excited saying this snake looked different than most of the corns we get here in NW Florida. He thought it might be a natural hybird, I'm leaning toward just a different color variation, the snake is cool, its a silvery gray almost metallic for the field and the markings are copper colored, again almost metallic, the flash makes the colors look more like a normal corn but you can get an idea by the tail section. poor thing was dying of thirst, we are in a drought and its gotta be rough on em. so after a good long drink and a romantic session with "Red" and a big fat mouse "Spike" seems to be settled in to his new home,

Just a heads up. You should Always quarantine new snakes from the rest of your collection. ESPECIALLY wild caught animals.
