Impaction?

DanielRal Jun 09, 2007 11:22 AM

I have 2 juvenile female leopard geckos and one of them stopped eating. I took them both to the vet to check their feces for parasites. They didn't have any.
They did an X-ray to see if there was an impaction and there was something in her stomach. The vet gave a stool softener and something to help the stomach move.
On the way home I noticed some undigested mealworms in there box. I figured she might have over eaten and regurgitated. The gecko is still uninterested in food but all other behaviors appear normal.
My question is do I have to force feed her while she is on the medication.

You should talk to your vet. You can probably just call and ask. They might recommend particular food over other food, stuff that would probably be easier to digest anyways.
