This past winter I posted about a non-feeder baby moccasin. I brumated it and it came out of its winter slumber with a great appetite. It hasn't refused a meal since it started feeding and is growing well.

I have another snake I'm concerned about. This one is a CBB eastern diamondback born last year. It feeds well as long as you offer a mouse. It refuses rats and even mice that have been thawed with rats. I'm not looking forward to maintaining an adult EDB that requires thirty mice a week. Anyone heard of an eastern diamondback that was fixated on mice only for food? I really hope this snake starts taking rats, squirrels, and eventually rabbits. I'd like to hear about others' EDB feeding experiences.

WK
