HELP!!!! Leapard Gecko coughing up blood

lactose Jun 09, 2007 06:55 PM

I am mainly a snake guy but i have a very large adult leapord gecko (Spotty). I recantly walked into the room to do maintnance on my snakes and him. I looked over just at the right time to see the gecko cough a large amount of blood 6 inches onto the glass side of the cage. After this he sguinted for about a minuit. And then began to look like he was trying to hold in more because he was swallowing constantly. He hasnt had water for 2 days but i thoght these were desert animals. He normally has water any way. The last thing he ate was wax worms. I alternate feedings of wax worms meal worms and crickets. I also found another small puddle of blood in the hide. Spotty is only 4 years old. I am very conserned.

Thanks!!!!!! Alex
