Friday Night Alterna

Saddleman Jun 10, 2007 03:33 AM

We made it to Sanderson about 9:30 pm Friday, we came in through Sheffield then FM 2400,it rained on and off all the way. We dropped the RV off and headed out, lightening to the east and occasional sprinkles. We saw 2 hypsiglena and then at 12:55 am, a nice young male medium phase blairs, about 10 feet up on a cut. Melissa held the light while I did my Monkey Man impression, followed by the traditional alterna boogie.
The conditions tonight where nearly the same. We were out until 3:00 am and saw 1 aor atrox, 1 dor longnose, 1 dor hypsiglena and 1 suboc on a cut. At 3:00 am it came a turd floater and we came in. It is still raining, I think Terrel Co. is officially out of the drought.
Will try to get pics tomorrow.
Later
Rick

It rained harder than either one of us has ever seen before in langtry on the way in to Del Rio.

Shannon
p.s. we saw well over 20 snakes tonight (well sat night )from the hueco's to Del Rio.
We shined a nice lep on the west cuts of sanderson also.

Great news! Can we look forward to some pics?

Yes I think the drought can safely be declared history at this point (I'm writing this from my rowboat in the front yard )...
