What do I have going here???

diggy415 Jun 10, 2007 09:07 AM

Was wondering if anyone can help me in what I possibly have here, here’s the history. The mother to all these guys of the same litter is dumbo eared, so I believe this is what I have with this gry guy. However, this other one is losing his fur, getting a thin coating back and then losing it again, except on his head, his ears don’t portray the dumbo gene, but his coat or lack of, says hairless. I do have a hairless in my line but this female wasn’t bred to him but she will be now. So what does it look like to you?

Enough with those pictures I say:

-----
1.4 various boas(Flicka,Felony,Nova,Alias,Alibi)
0.1 BRB Abalone; ABBI
1.0 Rott X (OSO)
2.0 cats (Simba, Morris)
fish & feeders

rex have kinked hairs. double rex however, they tend to have very brittle hairs that break off easy.. so they appear to grow hair and lose it just as fast.

You probably have the beginning of dumbo.
Definitely have the hairless gene set in there.
I say the beginning of dumbo cause either the pict isn't showing it or the ears aren't as down on their head as you would want. A true dumbo looks a bit flat headed neanderthal.
