Got a gopher

This little critter almost got stepped on by me, so I brought him home and fed him and he took to fresh thumped babies, no doubt he’s hungry.

In another post you said you lived in Lassen County? That's a good looking snake. It looks like an integrade between a Great Basin and a Pacific. There is a range map for Gophers on www.californiaherps.com.

I was going to guess great basin - but I'm not very good at pit identification.

It's a nice looking gopher whatever it is.
