new beardie

draybar Aug 16, 2003 08:18 PM

Hello all,
I am new to Beardies and just thought I would drop in and say hello.
I adopted a rescued beardie the other day and am really suprised at the great little personality he has.
Other then my Red Foot Tortoise my reptile pets don't have much of what you could call personalities. (aquatic turtles and snakes).
When he was rescued he had a severely absessed leg so they had to amputate his left leg just below the elbow. He is doing great now, though, and doesn't seem to have lost a step..parden the pun...LOL
We didn't want to call it something as obvious as tripod so my wife did a search for the word three in different languages.
well, we decided on the Hebrew word for three...Dimmel.
So Dimmel it is.
here is a pic of our new little buddie.

He is so sweet! And you are wonderful for "adopting" a new baby to take care of. Glad to see he has a good home.
