Went looking for easterns yesterday...

with Mike Collalto as my guide in western NY. We had a great day and saw a ton of snakes (at least 20 garters, 5 ringnecks and 1 redbellied snake).

Finally, we found the prize that we were looking for...an eastern milk found basking on a rock on a hillside...

You've gotta love sunny days spent flipping rocks and finding triangulum!

Dave,
You don't have to go all the way to NY to find milks. We can find them here in NC. Pick up Palmer and Braswell for specifics or shoot me an email. mcoone at hotmail dot com.

Thanks again for showing me how to catch an eastern. It only took me 35 years to find one...

Definately plan to come to NC in 08. I know you like black rats...I can pretty much guarantee that we'll find a TON of those down here, LOL. Jet black.

Just remember to bring plenty of pain killer...Your back will hurt from bending over so much to pick up all the black rats we find.
