I read somewhere that box turtles like to eat eggs. I made an omelet today for the turtles. I broke 2 eggs and then broke up the shells to small pieces. (I read that you should feed the turtles the eggshells for there calcium.) I fried it up in a pan using no oil or butter. I added some spinach and red pepper. I also soaked some Zoo Med. floating turtle food in water for about an hour then added that to the omelet. As you can from the pictures see the turtles loved it.

Dang, now I am hungry.

Creative, I like it. This could be a great way to sneak in some nutritious food items without them even noticing.

I wonder if my guys would touch anything like that. They've never shown interest in something that wasn't a live animal.

I've heard too that they like to eat eggs so I tried it but nobody would touch them.
I didn't try an omelet with a lot of veggies in it though.

I tried it. Most at least nibbled. I loaded it with shredded sweet potatoes and calcium powder.

I gave some to my many aquatics. They tore it up!!! Thanks for another feeding option! I'm seeing great "make and freeze" potential.

My turtles are Easter Box turtles. I had 2 turtles that at first just walked away form it. But when they saw the other turtles eating they came back and joined the feast.

Both my boxies LOVE hard boiled eggs. I often chop up an egg with some greens.
