Has anyone ever thought of...

NateW. Aug 16, 2003 08:42 PM

i've been thinking recently that if you could create a supplement that was high in protien and especially fat it would totally solve or at least help with the problem that fruit fly's are not high enough in these two areas. i have no idea how someone would do this, but thats why i thought i could bounce the idea of you guys. so what do you think?

just a crazy idea

well im not sure about that. but black jungle has this vitamin supplement that is suppose to be made by a 30 year dart frog expert. I got it, the tub is about 3/4 the size of a herpative tub and 3 times the price.

I think you are referring to dendrocare.

Price is definitly an issue with this product. The person who invented this lived in Europe. We looked into carrying it but between the week dollar & international shipping we decided to stick with the 50 - 50 mix of herptivite & repcal.

I have purchased a tub of dendrocare & didn't notice any difference (except it is finer & made me sneeze) with the frogs. We spoke with our vet regarding this product and he was leary regarding the vitamin A in dendrocare. Vitamin A builds up in the liver of dart frogs & can kill them.

I don't think people will have issues with dendrocare if you follow the directions on the label.
