I just completed a cage for Ball Pythons and used FRP for the flooring. After I got the doors installed, I noticed that the inside of the cage smells strongly like fiberglass. Is this something I should be concerned about? Does FRP outgass for an extended period of time? This stuff has been in my garage for months before the cage was completed so I figured it would be fine for use but now I'm worried that the smell might make the snakes unhappy, or worse.

The product as a whole is most likely cured, however I am sure you cut the product to fit the enclosure. That is most likely the source unless you used a some sort of adhesive, or contact cement. Either way the smell and odor should offgas in a relitivly short period of time. However if you used Contact Cement the wait maybe a bit longer.

At a minimum I would wait until the smell was gone before introducing the animal. I would also let the cage offgas in a well ventilated area.
