closedcasket88 Jun 11, 2007 03:57 PM

woke up to a surprise of 17 perfect eggs laid straight on apsen bedding. she had shedd the day before and i was gonna throw a box in there that day but when i went to put it in i was surprised with a nice pile of healthy eggs. cant go wrong with that
only question is, should i cahnge my ibncubation substrate to a perlite vermiculite mixture? i currently have them in Bed-a-beast , i like the way it holds moisture and i never realy get any mold with it .its my first time using it , should be ok right?

From the photo, it looks like some of the eggs are not in contact with the substrate. If that is the case, you might want to cover them with moist sphagnum moss. They all need to be in contact with a source of moisture. One or two of them look like they are drying out.

well no drying out yet, hopefully none at all, a few eggs were up high ,as they were layed in a pile so i snuggled some substrate between em and filled em in nice and all seems well.
whats the ideal zone for a humidity gauge to read?
