Bearded Dragon is opening her mouth. Why?

frank k May 21, 2003 06:30 PM

I noticed my bearded dragon holding her mouth open the last few days. I just put a new heat light in that has raised the high end temps to 100 degrees vs. low 90's before. Is it too hot and it's a way for her to thermoregulate? She otherwise seems healthy. She's eating and deficating fine.

What she is doing is very normal, she is just "cooling off"
