Lumpy Female....

DNReptiles Jun 11, 2007 06:25 PM

Purchased this female that was bred to a cinny (thanks Louis). She is in blue and pretty lumpy. The pic doesnt capture how she really looks but is pretty close. Is this a sign that she may be gravid? If you start from her head and follow the body you'll see where all the sudden she gets HUGE and stays like that. Opinions?????????

Dave,
First of all, that's a nice ball. Second, I'm not a pro and far from it. But in my own recent research about breeding Ball Pythons I ran across the following site. It has a really good explanation of the process and its "stages" plus it has pictures. It directly talks about the "lumpy" female. Hope it helps.

Good Luck and keep us posted.
