my carpet is ALWAYS stretching out and looking at this one particular corner of the tank, i have no idea why he does it or what hes looking for, but everyday at least 3 times i will watch him stretch and sit there for a minute or two before he goes slithering around the tank again to find a comfortable spot...
any ideas why this behavior would occur?
Perhaps that is the most vulnerable corner of your tank. Make sure to check it to make sure it is secure.
Would it be the corner that you lift up? Perhaps he is associating that with it. Or perhaps he checks out the other corners, but not when you are watching him.

he is to dang pretty send him over here and he wont try to get out no more lol. but seriously when mine was younger and about the size of yours he would do that all the time also i put him in a slightly gigger cage and he stopped now he is 6 1/2 foot and in a 3' boaphile cage with perches and never trys to get out o rlook at the opening like he wants to yeah he will cruise around at night but nothing like he used to trying to get out
