Bad News

The big Burm that I just took died around 8 PM (EST). I'm still really pissed that someone would just abuse an animal like that and not feel bad about it. Well I guess that my wife and I will just continue to take in homeless herps until people realize that snakes aren't just for decoration.

sorry to hear that man

it's good to hear that you take in unwanted animals, i'm sure it's a lot easier on the animals

good luck on your next find

You did a selfless thing to take him in, but unfortunately it was too late already. How tragic. I'm glad that people like you are around to help these poor souls with no voice. Thanks,

I had to wait a day before I could even respond to it. That poor snake. It's really unfortunate that you didn't get to her just a little sooner. But it really doesn't seem as if there was anything you could have done, it happened so quick. In the picture you posted while she was still alive I noticed upon first glance that she had a very "expanded" look to her body where her heart would be. My first thought was that she might have advanced heart disease due to malnutrition and perhaps even to mass-medication practices prior to you recieving her. Whatever the cause, this is what it appears to be to me based on that picture.

Best of luck on future rescues and if I can help in any way don't hesitate to let me know.

It isn't "Ideas" that fail or succeed,... it is the "Systems" which are instilled to launch and sustain the idea that either fail or succeed.>[Me.]
