look at my newly hatched babies

spider916 Jun 12, 2007 05:30 PM

what do these guys look like to you. mom is normal and dad is either yellowbelly or pastel, both males hooked up. unfortunatly these are the only 2 that hatched. the other 3 eggs in the clutch died in egg some time ago. dont really know why. when i cut them open they were fully formed but really small. their color hadnt even formed they were kinda grey with some hint of color. not really the outcome i was going for but i do have these two beautiful looking babies.

thats what i thought. they both have a faded head and clear bellies. their eyes are goldish colored on the top half and dark on the bottome half. their overal color is way brighter than any normal that ihave hatched this season. thanks for your input. it helps me come to a conclusion. i havent sexed them yet but will in a few weeks.

yeah you can mainly tell by looking at them and then the eye thing is a dead giveaway...if the top half of the eye is colored like the "eye-stripe" then yes they are def. pastel. glad I could help.
