JoshKetchum Jun 12, 2007 10:33 PM

A had a great litter born today. I got 10 Albino Het Stripe and 7 DH Striped Albino.
What do you think of this little guy... He tried to be an Albino, but just couldn't do it...

Here is the rest of the litter.

.....with all the litters I have produced, I have never been able to get one of those 'freak' Boas in any of them! LOL
They are kind of neat!
Congrats on another nice litter.

Congratulations on those albinos!!! They look nice and healthy. Those dh's aren't bad either. That "wannabe" albino is a trip. I was going to send you and Jeremy an email with this question, but figured I'd ask here. What's your take on the genetic inheritability of the "paradox" appearance, namely paradox albinos? I've seen a few pop up through the years, but have yet to hear of anyone trying to prove it out. I'm sure you guys have more resources to consult, but I was just wondering what the word is on the paradox trait being genetic.

Any info would be appreciated. Congrats again on some nice albinos.

There has been several paradox albino boas produced they pop out at random. I know of several breadings where people have bred pardox to paradox, paradox back to mom or dad etc. None have ever proved Genetic in boas. They are just cool looking animals. I am curious if this little guy will get more albino color on him has he grows. I plan on keeping him to find out.
In other species and someone can correct me if I am wrong, there have been paradox animals that have proven genetic. I believe the albino kenyan paradox is genetic and Tracy could correct me there because I am pretty sure it was her that did those breedings. I have also heard of a paradox leucistic garter that is genetic. Hope this helps...
I would be interested to hear some other opinions.

Thanks for your input Josh. I'd like to see if your paradox proves genetic. Too bad that all those other paradox boas have yet to prove out. Still they are very cool animals to have in a collection.

Congrats again on the litter.
