My impression is that he will either Veto HB 12 or let it default onto the books with no signature... It does not seem very well received by the Governor, and we have a chance to get it kicked back.
HB 12 Sections 41 and 44 Need to go.

Has anyone spoken to him or his staff this week? A call to the governor from him could be decisive, and he's supported us in this so far.....

But my conversation with his staff right after HB 12 was that there was nothing he could address this session and they were not happy about the dirty trick pulled in committee on this issue.
I have not talked with Gallego directly myself, and really do not expect to. I would expect somebody in his district would have a much better chance at that. Asking his staff to ask him to ask the Governor to consider a veto and special session did not seem like it would get far. Somebody needs to get in touch with Gallego personaly to ask that, not through his staff.
