First time shedders...BHP's

DerekRoddy Jun 13, 2007 09:23 AM

Well, these have had their first meals and shed.
Think these are going to be some killer BHP's. Great color comming in already.
Enjoy.

Another clutch has hatched as well. I'll get some shots when they shed.
Cheers.

I have looked at this pic about 25-30 times today. It is just awesome. I was looking at the pic of the mother and man o man can you imagine this thing as an adult with that clean black line and those nice clean sides like mom?? So sweet.

On a different note I got my first BHP poo last night and it was also impressive. I know any 9 foot snake is going to have a big load to drop but this is the first time in 3 weeks she did and ... yeah it wasn't pretty. I had just cleaned the cage of course... yeah. LOL

Wow, #3 is my favorite from the previous group of pics. This black back one is really nice, too! You think that's a genetic anomaly, or maybe a mutation from incubation temps? I haven't seen the pics of the parents, so that may be a dumb question. Cool, man.

I don't think it's genetic. I also don't think it's temps as it seems others would have been effected if so.
I've heard that every once in a while these will pop out. The parents are very clean banded animals so....who knows LOL.
She's cool. I'll get some more shots as they all shed.
Cheers.

Yo Tom.... Got your message. I'll be leaving to go back to South Carolina at the end of this week. I'll miss you it looks like. Give me a call anyway.
Are you planning on making Daytona? I'll be there for sure.
Talk soon. Thanks about the babies.
D.

I will call you from the road, I am leaving late tonight and taking a slow ride there.
I will be in Daytona, already booked in the Hilton. I have a ton of colubrid eggs, many more clutches to go and babies out of the egg already. Super busy battening down the hatches for my trip. tty soon Tom
