New Litter !! --- Aby's and more

Morgans Boas Jun 13, 2007 09:44 AM

Well, my female dropped at 2:00 this morning. She had 23 live, 1 stillborn and 0 slugs. She was a normal plain Jane female. I put two males in with her - an '03 Hypo/Hog (Gulf Coast), and an '04 Aby male. After her ovulation I started kicking myself about the double male part , thinking, I'll know if I have Hypos that at least the Hypo/Hog was the father, but would I be able to tell if the Aby male played a part also ? Well you tell me !!!
There were only 3 hypos and alot of abberants with only two normal but clean ones
Here's a couple of gooey pics for you--

Here's the Hypos -------

Who do you think fathered these ?

I know that not all of the non-hypos are from the Aby male, but their are many "for sure" ones
------thanks for looking, David

They all look great. Sometimes a split litter isn't a bad thing. Now you have new baby Abby's and new baby hypo hoggs. Can't beat that.

Congrats on the litter, some of those hypos look like the tail pattern is vanishing, neat! Very pale!
I am just curious, of the normals, can you tell which ones are hog/colombian compared to the aby colombians when the aby trait isn't showing pattern aberrancies or do all the full colombians show the aby traits?
Can't wait to see more pics, those abys are smokin'!

Thanks April. Of the 20 non-hypos, there are only 2 or 3 that aren't abberant. one of those three looks like its influenced by a Hog Island. These babies are so fresh right now that I'm not messing with them. I'll get a better opinion after they shed.

.....when friends and customers produce baby Boas from stock they purchased from us! There are some very nice babies in that pile! Good color and some great patterns!
We have 2-3 litters cooking with the Aby project, so it will be nice to see what we get from our breeding trials too.

Glad this guy worked out good for you!

CONGRATS again to you!
