I just recently bought an alligator hes about 2 1/2 feet long but everytime i see him i wanna hold him and i heard that they get stressed easily and could even die so my question is what are the signs of him getting real stressed out and if i hold him how long/often thanks

Crocodilians shouldn't be held, they are not dogs. They are observation animals. The only time we ever touch ours is if we have a educational lecture. Ronnie

The jaws of the alligators or the other crocodilians we take. We also just don't have one animal we use too make sure the animals aren't stressed out. We always have good numbers of rescued alligators and other crocodilians. An individual animal will only get used once a month if that. I would NEVER expose a untaped crocodilian to the public.
