So I work in a petshop and someone brought us in a 3 foot cali. king that had an infected cloaca. They pretty much didn't want anything to do with it anymore and just gave it to the shop. I have been giving it regular baths and keeping it on plain white paper towels (which are changed daily). It had recently shed and most of the skin ras wrapped around the cloaca and i think it wasn't airing out down there and only festering. I soaked him in warm water and got the skin off, but i haven't applied anything to the infected area. I'll try to get a picture up on here, but i've never posted a pic so hopefully i'll be able to. Thanks for any advice on how to treat this situation and for any advice at all. I work with a lot of different different species and breed a lot. I have around 8 years of experience working with everything from green snakes to large burms, i've just never run into this situation so I didn't know how to go about the situation. thanks again.
