Question?

I am going to be purchasing a axanthic brooksi soon and can't decide on weather or not to purchase a male or female? I currently have a male and female "possible het for hypo" 06 brooksi kings. Now this axanthic is 100% het for snow. So if I was planning on breeding later down the line, would it be better get a female? or male? Now I know the males get bigger and normally look better "so I have been told". I would just like to get a opinion from those who have experiance breeding and etc. Thanks

I feel you'd be better off with the female.

An axanthic male will not help you "prove" out your possible het. for hypos. You would be better off buying a female and mating the male with both. Then you would end up with a clutch of definite het. for axanthic, and possibly a clutch of hypos.

If you were to get a male you be better off with a hypo male to breed with your possible het. for hypo female.

Just my opinion.
