This is just a pair of Bolivians I'm hoping to breed this year.
They are supposed to be from the "Lemke" Bloodline.
Check out the square tail pattern on the female..

Thanks for sharing the pictures. I have a male silverback that's only a year old but wow what cool boas. These guys are my favorite. There seems to be some confusion about bloodlines though. Silverbacks particularly. Mine was sold to me as a bolivian silverback. Originating from joe terry bloodline. But when I do deep research it seems that true silverbacks come from the Sao Paolo region of south Brazil. For example see http://www.boa-constrictors.com/com/Amarali/usfehlinfo.html
My Amarali Looks like a true silverback.
Bolivians are BCC's right? im not familiar with this locality but it looks that way.

Many people lump most Red-Tails into BCC but that is not entirely true. BCC and BCI are usually used when the specific origination lacality is unknown. Here is a simple list of the main groupings of Red-Tail Boas (this is incomplete by the way as some of the sub-species are still being debated regarding their actual status).
Red Tail Boa Constrictor or B.c.sp. for short (comprises the entire group of red-tail boas)
|-Typical Nomenclature- Where they Occur (note there are overlaps in their ranges)
|-BCC- B.c. constrictor (Venezuela, Columbia to S. Brazil)
|-BCA- B.c. amarali (S. Brazil, E. Bolivia, Paraguay
|-BCI-- B.c. imperator (Mexico, Central America, Ecuador)
|-------- B.c. longicuda (Thumbes Province, Peru)
|-------- B.c. melanogaster (Ecuador)
|-------- B.c. nebulosus (Dominica, West Indies)
|-BCO--B.c. occicentalis (Argentina, Paraguay)
|-------- B.c. orophias (Trinidad, St. Lucia,Dominica, St. Kitts)
|-------- B.c. ortonii (Chilette, Peru)
|-------- B.c. sabogae (Tabogo Island, Panama)
The pair I have came from Pete Mimicose. Lots of times you will see references to Bolivians as "Silver Backs". This is really just a means of describing a particular look or trait that a particular bloodline is carrying. I don;t know that these are silver backs. From most of the references to silver backs that I have seen, I would have to say that this pair are not silver backs.
Thanks, Chris
them this year too. They're bigger than this now...

That's my girl
This is the lucky snake...

Those are really nice clean animals. They make mine look prety plain. I particularly like the red ocelli on the second one. I want to get some more bloodlines to work with myself. I like the Red and Blonde bloodlines that are out there. I may have to get on a waiting list since most of the babies from those bloodlines have already sold for this season and I'll be out of extra cash from my Het T pos Argentines I'll be getting next month.
If you haven't seen them yet, check them out. Barry Miller bloodlines.

I used to go to his web site and drool at his collection
on almost a daily basis right before I bought my pair..
Mine were bought from two different guys, but both of them
got their animals from Miller at some time. I guess they are
cousins...
He has some truly gorgeous bolivians.
Your female is not directly related to either of Barry's blonde or red bolivians. Both parents are from Joe Terry's silverback bloodline, mother produced by Tudehope and father produced by Bell. Hope this helps
Philip
I need to update my records.
I think one of the male's parents is, but I'm not positive....
She's really a sweet snake. Did you keep any of her siblings?

Yes,
I kept one male, he's about 4' now.
The mother of your snake dropped 34 slugs about 3 weeks ago...I'm still recovering.
I feel your pain. Do you know went wrong?
I'm hoping to breed the girl I got from you in December this year. She's nice & thick...
My Hog is due in the end of July...
