Nice shots, Todd. Is that Texas Longnose AOR? I'm headed out to the desert this weekend here in Cali, and while everyone else is looking for Rosy Boas, I'm hoping to see a Longnose or a male Mojave Glossy (got 2 females). I like your TX Longnose ssp. I read they may be easier to get eating rodents than the ones out here. Also hear they make interesting cpatives. Surprised nobody's thought of breeding them.

yeah, it was found aor and collected to make my pair. They are pinker out in west Texas, kinda neat lookin'. I have the female on hoppers and had an old male that would eat 2 mice at a time. Not all go on mice but I didn't have to scent, it is easier when they are bigger, I think, as it would naturally be part of their diet, but maybe a hatchling would go for pinks, I am sure you can scent them. I like the ones in Cal with no red, kinda cool! Here's my wife with the female, sorry for crappy pic.

Wow! Very cool. I got an emaciated individual from some friends while road cruising this weekend. I'm gonna see if I can get it back to health, and on rodents. What substrate do you keep yours on?

Aspen, with a rock from its' locale to aid in shedding and to help keep it....feeling a bit secure? The big one doesn't hide but the smaller female hides under her water bowl a lot.
