cirx and worms

kurma Aug 17, 2003 03:00 AM

Ok I knwo they are used often for herps if not so with leos, so do they really more tendacy to have worm over mealies? I don't want to get my male better and have it happen again, does this sound right?

Mealies don't carry worms. Crix do. You certainly can just feed properly gutloaded mealies, they are "cleaner", but despite the facts that crix carry worms I still feed them, because I think the variety is good for my animals. If it is worms, you can ask your vet to give you enough panacur to treat a few time sin the future, either preventatively every 6 mo. to one year, or if they seem to start to show symptoms.

Again Thanks
I'll have to try harder for them to eat mealies they were eatiing them before I had them and are now but it doesn't get them going like crix since they don't move much for the most part. The thought of giving crix again right after being treated and them again getting worms really troubles me
