Hi guys, how long does it take usually, form first shed to first accepted meal?

I believe you can try any time after it's first shed, but most people wait a week.

Wow nice job that pastel looks great!

I just had 2 clutches hatch a couple of weeks ago. every hatchling except for 1 took a lg mouse fuzzy 2 days after 1st shed. The one that didn't waited a week before taking anything.

I TRY to feed them the day they shed......I get better odds of eating that way ......don''t know why ,I just think it's true...some will eat no matter what and some are going to drive you crazy for 3 weeks no matter what.....

.......some will eat the day of shed or even a day before if you like to try.......the shed is usually clear enough that they look normal......

.....I use fuzzy mice first meals usually.......rat pinks if you like..........

.......after like 3 fuzz meals I use hoppers then small mcie fairly quickly.........they can eat mice at hatching but the mice scare the snot out of most of them.......

IF they do not eat rat pink or fuzzy mouse..use a hopper....dark colored..the jumping and running around works ....don't leave them in more than like an hour or so...?......not all night......
