Mice parasites? Can I get rid of them?

embibble Jun 15, 2007 05:23 AM

I was looking into breeding my own mice. Is there anyway to rid them of parasites? I have read that freezing after death will kill some, but I can't find a good article that explains if freezing kills ALL parasites or just some. I thought maybe there would be some anti-parasite meds you could feed first generation of adults to rid them of parasites, and then the future generations would be largely free of them.

Let me know, thanks!

According to my vet freezing for several months will kill most. BUT Do you even know if the mice have parasites???? I would have a fecal float done before I fussed with anything.
