day old chicks are pretty poor in nutritional value for any snake , you will be far better of sticking to rodents
I have been dealing with a Jungle Carpet python that hadn’t eaten for 8 months because of a Mouse bite (and infection) that turned her off to all rodents. I tried everything to no avail until I tried a chick last Sunday. Man she whacked it so fast I almost missed it! I’m not thrilled about feeding chicks because of the alleged nutritional value of day old chicks so I plan to give them a few days of food (including Calcium and vitamin supplements) before the snake gets it. I plan to sent rats with the chicks, to try to convert her back.
If your snake will eat rodents I would stick to that, in fact I would stick to rats. Start with pinkies and so on. Oh and feed frozen thawed. They DON’T bite and cost you $300 bucks in Vet bills!
PS: If you need it Rodent Pro has quail of all ages if you what to feed birds.
Another thing to keep in mind is that apparently poultry makes boa's stools very runny and smelly. Some people with dedicated snake rooms might not mind, but if you "live" near where you keep your snake... this might be a major concern.
