Well hello all! I haven't acquired a monitor since my 1st last April(Savannah who I still have) and now I'm looking into aqcuiring another that being a Dumeril Monitor.

Well I've been searching for Dumerils for sale but I only found one which the dealer I've seen and not pleased with. Does anybody know any REPTUABLE breeders? Also anybody who owns Duemerils, please feel free to post pics and explain how it feels to keep them(I actually beg you to). Thank you!

They are great monitors, relatively calm, not shy. Wild caughts can be a little sickly. They do well on a diet of mice, crayfish, fiddler crabs.
I like to call them mud monitors, they love to be able to get into a damp substrate as much as any monitor I have ever kept.
Provide a large water container 4'x2' minimum.
There was a guy on this forum that bred them recently, do an archive search.

Thanks but I've already tried Ben, I know him from another forum and I know he has a clutch incubating but he told me he dosen't sell to people under 18.........3 years to go.

That's one of the main reasons I love Dums, there diet. It's from other monitors and gives you a new expericence/change from the the rodent diet.
