Can anybody tell me what kinds of food (exactly) a ball python will find/eat in the wild?
I know of gerbils and natal rats. I'd like a huge long list, but I know that is a lot to ask. Anything you can tell me would be great!
Thanks in advance

All I know is the African soft furred/Natal rats. My BP has been eating them almost since she was hatched. Never refuses unless she is in blue.
My only problem with the natal rats is finding someone who breeds them in TN. I would love to get a few, but finding them nearby is impossible. I just don't have the money to have them shipped. Does anybody know of anybody in Tennessee that breeds and sells natal/soft-furred rats? And does anybody have any more answers to my main question?
Check asfrats.info forum. A lot of people in various regions selling them are listed in the breeders section.

That is about the list. Personally I would get a couple gerbils and use them to scent rats with. If you cater to a BP you will have a snake that is a PITA to feed and when you get rid of it someone else has all the more work, and the snake suffers, trying to learn to eat rats anyway. Teach it to take anything now and it will be so much easier later.
