More snakes in the news....link

TaylorJames Jun 15, 2007 11:10 PM

They interviewed a woman last night about the snake and she claimed to have seen the "GIANT" snake decapitate a kitten. The story on this snake flips and flops more than a politician on election day. One day the snake is a boa, and the next it's a python. One day it's black, then gray, and then brown.

There are a couple of videos of the snake situation on the link.

Anyone else in Pa. see this?

Enjoy,
Taylor James

This is the kind of publicity the hobby doesn’t need , if fools keep letting there snakes go or escape there’s know telling what restrictions they will put on us next . David of DS Reptile Rescue , Removal & Rehabilitation

Some of our finest right there. I'm amazed every single day by how many completely ignorant and oblivious people walk around free to procreate.

Reminds me of an email that was forwarded to me at work a while back. The story was that somebody had found two baby "copperheads" inside a potted plant they had gotten from a chain store. There was some cardboard in the bottom of the pot where the "eggs must have hatched". LOL The photo was of two harmless little Dekay's snakes in a flower pot. It's crazy how afraid people are of harmless reptiles.

they killed the snake, took the snake to the ER and still insisted it was a copperhead. Yet we didn't get to see the snake on the news because it's probably been sent to the incinerator or something. I've been told countless times that my own snake is venomous and should be destroyed before it gets a chance to kill me. Everyone insists that he's such a dangerous animal and that he will eventually turn on me and rip my throat out and swallow my arm whole. Now guess what kind of snake I currently have lol A CORN SNAKE!! Two in fact and to date, neither have been too awful agressive, Frosty a bit at feeding time, but he calms down once I touch him with something that's not my hand. Flips me out how ignorant some people are. One person actually tried to convince me that if I ever had children that the state would remove my children because I have snakes in the house. I was like and what do other reptile owners do when they have babies? Sign them over at birth for someone else to take care? FREAKS i swear!
