Frozen Greens

ecrowell Jun 16, 2007 04:20 AM

Is it healthy to buy frozen greens and thaw them out for the beardies?

Freezing destroys Thiamine. You'd have to either add some back or don't only use frozen greens.

Like BDLvr said, freezing destroys certain ingredients but as long as you suppliment with a multivitamin once a week, or mix in fresh greens, there isn't any problem with frozen vegetables. Just make sure the frozen vegetables you use are vegetables that are good to give to your dragon. Not all vegetables should be given every day and a few shouldn't be given at all. Check the nutrition chart at the site below to see how often to give which green/vegetable.
