Lavender Sulfur/NE Axanthic Brooks-INFO?

DISCERN Jun 16, 2007 02:20 PM

Although I have never owned a brooks, there are two morphs that I consider stand outs, which is the Lavender Sulfur and NE Axanthic. I do consider getting one in the future someday, if my collection size allows it aside from my primary focus on pits.

My question is: What is the history, or full story, on each morph? OR, is there any information about each one that is credible? I just want to learn about them and I may perhaps will consider to get one someday, but I simply do not know anything about each morph and knew some here may be able to shed some light.

Thanks for any and all input!!!

I can give you the full history on them but I am running out the door for my daughters birthday party..

Basically the NE was a strain originated by a group of breeders in the new england part of the united states. The name has nothing to do with locale. The original stock is directly from the canal areas in s dade county. I have kept my line pure except one time when I bred a NE to a Lenmke to prove the genes are allelic and this year to a patternless bone white hypo female to create a better ghost. The sulfur brooks w0as a high yellow s florida king (not a reccessive trait) that was bred into the Tim Ricks lavender to acheive high yellow lavender albino. I will have both lines avaliable this year including sulfur snows.

I can give more details later but if you do a search I posted the full histories here several times before.

BTW I just had a 2006 New England lay 5 good eggs today. This was a snake I did not plan on breeding and was on fuzzies until spring when I started feeding her large food items. I just took a pic and will post her and the eggs next to a dollar bill to show size. Just thought i would mention it because I was excited to find 5 good eggs just a little while ago.
