Ringed Pythons

Tom Keogan Jun 16, 2007 08:41 PM

These little buggers went 67 long days before they finally started to pip! The rings this year are really making me wait! This is the first clutch, the second clutch was just laid about a week ago and the third clutch is due to be laid any day now. Strange year, but better late then never. I will post more pics once more are out. Enjoy! Tom

They look great for the wait! I will be looking for a pair of those in the future for sure! Pics of the parents? Are they the ones who keep the ringed pattern as adults?

Nick, Thanks! Here are some pics of the adults. Yes these animals have kept lots of color and so do their hatchlings. The female is a 1994 animal and the male is a 1998 animal. Female in 1st pic male in 2nd. Sorry for the crappy pics. Thanks Tom

Nice work. I'm still sitting on 26 eggs with 3 weeks to go.

Outstanding adult color retention! Congrats brother. Offspring from that pair would be a GREAT addition to anyone's Ringed colony. It is so great to see people FINALLY getting into this breed. Tell me these aren't the coolest little pythons around. I am constantly kicking myself for screwing around with my cooling this winter. Not a gravid Ring in the house this year!!!! Best of luck. - Brian

Albert, Thanks! I have hit it again this year my first clutch is on the ground and I have two others in the incubator. I have been breeding them since 1997 and love the snake but they are no ball python. I hope to produce a bunch of healthy high contrast young rings this year.
