And to think my dad wanted to shoot it. Pah! It is safely in the woods behind our house. Never seen one quite that red around here before. (here being North County San Diego, mountainy area)

Wow,
Those red diamond rattlesnakes blow me away every time. I was just recently out in Borrego and Jullian hoping to find some Ruber. No such luck this trip. I guess Ill just have to go back down south and look again.
