I was thinking of switching my western hognose to sand but want some advice on the best kind of sand, by the way she is on aspen now and is sub adult thanks for the help

i use to keep my western hogs in sand until i heard that it wasnt too great for them..of course they love to dig but i heard that the sand could get stuck in their nostrils and could cause infections...i use corn cob and cyprus mulch..
