This is an addiction. Haha and the only partial cure is more snakes! So I broke down and had to make a new addition. I was browsing through Will Bird's website actually looking for his 2007 babies to hopefully be for sale and luckily happened upon his last remaining 2006 male available. Well I of course couldn't pass it up since I was looking for a male to put with my 06' female. This way I will (if everything goes according to plan) be able to breed them a year early than I'd be able to if I had picked up an 07' male. So blame it on the addiction, or whatever else you may want to but without further rambling let me know what you think about my soon to be addition and hopefully future mate for Roxy. Let me know what you think about them, any comments (good or bad) are welcome.

First pic is my new male (which I'm going to name Dugo!!) And the second pic is Roxy.

Thanks!

Ike,
...That male is great looking. Now ALL you need is another female.

HAha well you can tell that to Dave since I bought her from him. but actually she is a LOT better looking than that picture might suggest. That is just my poor picture taking skills and pitiful camera...but I couldn't blame anyone for looking at the pic and thinking "wow that female is just terrible looking compared to that male" haha either way I like them both it's just my picture taking skills mixed with my lousy camera. I wish I could find the picture Dave had of her it actually did her justice. Anyway, thanks for commenting though

Hey thanks for the insight. It's funny how when you read things one way it could be interpreted to mean something totally different than it was really intended to mean. HA but thanks for setting me straight, and I hope that my response to that didn't come off as rude or me being upset or anything and I hope I didn't offend anyone!

Ike,
....I try to keep my BRB collection with about twice as many females as males. Males can easily breed with multiple females each year and I also hold some females back from breeding if they have not gained weight back. There is nothing wrong with your female.

Well thanks, sorry I kinda snapped back at you, it wasn't anything directed towards you and I hope you know that! Just wasnt having a great day and read your post totally incorrect! Sorry about that, and yes I do agree I need another female to go with them to make a nice trio! Thanks for your comments though!

You mentioned the pic of your girl isn't the greatest which has me wondering what she looks like in person.

How/what are her background and saddle colors in person and does she have as much contrast in person as in the photo?

Nice looking snakes btw, I only ask because from personal experience photographing mine I know that cameras do funny things to the way the snake looks until you figure out what settings and lighting will produce accurate photo's.

Congrats on the pair.

Sean.

Hey Sean,

To answer your question yes she has just as much constrast in that pic. She's pretty much just your run of the mill normal BRB. The picture just sort of seemed to dull down her appearance a little bit thats all. I'm just saying the blacks look blacker and the oranges look oranger (ha is that a word (I doubt it)). I just attribute it to the fact that it was an indoors picture taken under normal bedroom lighting (i.e. basic light bulbs in the ceiling, and by no means very bright) and the fact that my camera is about a 5 year old crappy camera. Does that answer your question?
