Id tell you to get a crested gecko or a trio of babies. There so fun ot watch and a trio of babies is even better watching them interact toegther, and they make the cutest noises at night when there together. Not as handelable as beardeds well not real close to it but i take mine out everyday and they love it, when you take em out just let them do w/e they want on you or completly seel off a room like i did with my bathroom and just let them run around.
Anyhow there probably the easiest lizard to take care of, you dont need any hea i use a 15 watt red light form wal mart its lasts so much longer then those zoo med lights and its makes for a cool affect,
Just designing a nice terrarium for them is fun you can do some col stuff to it, for instance i have a miami dolphins theme in one terraium and in my babies terraium i have a teenage mutant ninja turtle theme lol. Dont wanna go on but these guys are so cute/cool. My girlfriend loves them and if yo want you could feed them supplemented babyfood there whole life but they can eat crickets/worms.Mist liek heavily twice a day and thats about it for em.
