Hey, cornfolk,
I have on the way a couple of my all-time favorites: Miami corn snakes. Mine are wild-caught and aren't textbook grey grounded, but I actually prefer them that way.
In rereading all my corn snake literature, I came across a pic of a great plains crossed with a corn (from McEachern "Color Guide . . ."
. It had a solid grey ground and crimson saddles and possibly could be passed off as a Miami.
So, have these crosses happened? In pursuit of a "perfect" Miami, have people cut in with great plains? Are there Miami purists out there who put more emphasis on locale than appearance? Or is Miami now associated with a specific look as opposed to locale?
Just trying to get a feel for the current consensus regarding my fav corns.
Thanks!
